Advertised Job Summary:Collaborate with multidisciplinary research team on research projects utilizing fMRI, kinematics, kinetics, and surface electromyography in populations of adults with and without chronic low back pain.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Must possess a PhD in biomedical engineering, cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, motor control or related field. Previous research experiences in fMRI and/or human biomechanics is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with human subjects research protocols, excellent communication and organization skills, experience with technology related to biomechanical measurements (kinematics, kinetics, EMG) and data collection software (LabVIEW, MATLAB). Ability to work in a team and independently. Ability to troubleshoot technological issues with staff and research participants. Potential to contribute to undergraduate or graduate teaching within Department of Exercise Science.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ensure proper implementation of research following all protocols, and proper ethical and related guidelines. Communicate effectively with research team. Demonstrate excellent writing and organizational skills. Work as part of a team and independently. Ensure timely completion of all required CITI and Good Clinical Practice training. Articulate ideas and demonstrate a willingness to bring creative and bring new ideas to the team. Ability to complete basic data reduction and statistical analyses using LabVIEW, MATLAB, FSL, SPSS or related programs. Ability to utilize Endnote, Excel and REDCap software.
