Advertised Job Summary:The School of Medicine Greenville at the University of South Carolina is accepting applications for a short-term web designer. Duties include but are not limited to:
•Duties for this role include administering, maintaining, updating, and coordinating the development of new material for the department’s website and faculty database.
•Creating digital content that complies with WCAG Level AA guidelines.
•Ensures consistent application of accepted standards and best practices for site design, function and usability while working within University defined guidelines.
•Must be familiar with website Content Management Systems (CMS) and practicalities of Site Engine Optimization (SEO)
•Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of industry editorial guidelines, very strong organizational skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large number of constituents including administrators, faculty, professional staff, students, donors, alumni, media professionals, etc.
•Must have good judgment in the handling of confidential information, ability to make decisions based on imperfect and incomplete information, and agility in multi-tasking.
