Job description

This position works with faculty, staff, and student on the administration of external research awards in the College of Arts & Sciences portfolio. This person will assist PIs and other administrative staff with maintaining project records, including notice of awards, advance account notices, sub-contract documentation, payroll documentation, and non-payroll documentation such as supply, consultant, and travel documentation. They will also assist PIs in assigned departments with interpreting federal, state, and private sponsor guidelines and regulations for spending on sponsored awards and determining allowable and unallowable expenses on awards, and ensuring fiscal compliance on all awards in their portfolio. This position is responsible for assisting PIs in assigned departments with monthly expenditure review of sponsored awards, including reviewing project ledger reports for accuracy for personnel and non-personnel expenses and distributes monthly expenditure reports to PIs for review and approval and addresses any questions or concerns involving expenses posting to the account. Creates and maintains spending projections for PIs to send out monthly with expenditure review. They will be responsible for initiating post-award actions on sponsored projects and work in collaboration with the central research office on the submission and completion of these actions.

Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
