Essential Job Duties:NC State Women’s Volleyball is seeking to fill a student statistics and analytics manager position within our program. This is a volunteer position training under our current Data Volley Analyst. The potential for future funding is based on the availability of funds. This opportunity is a great potential segue into a career in college athletics.
We are looking for someone who is smart, creative, organized and highly motivated to immediately begin training with our program in the use of Data Volley software. This is the primary software used for statistical analysis in our sport. Prior knowledge of the sport of volleyball is preferred, but not necessarily required.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending practice sessions on a daily basis. 9am-12pm daily during the spring, including some Saturday/Sunday practice sessions. 2-5pm daily during the fall. Travel with the team is possible.
-Training in the use of Data Volley software. This will include practicing and honing your skills using some of your own time outside of official practice.
-Working with statistical formulas to build and edit excel style spreadsheets within Data Volley software.
-Assisting in the setup of practice equipment.
