Pay Rate:

$18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Minimum Experience/Education:

Two years of professional administrative support experience, preferably in a university setting
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Support Assistant Director of University Events Commencement/Convocation with various elements of planning and organizing commencement ceremonies
•Demonstrate strong customer service skills
•Manage commencement email and voicemail accounts: exhibit knowledge of commencement policies, procedures and precedents, applying knowledge to answer questions from students, guests, faculty and staff
•Assist with e-ticket distribution and ticket waiting list
•Proof read commencement print program and other print materials
•Assist in volunteer recruitment, training, orientation, and scheduling
•Prepare volunteer training materials and information manuals to be up-to-date and user friendly
•Provide direction and leadership to volunteers throughout all commencement ceremonies
•Collect and draft commencement committee meeting minutes
•Process purchase orders for catering, florals, rentals, etc. into 49er Mart

On-site for commencement ceremonies one Saturday included
