Position Description:
The Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden (MEMBG) at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) seeks a Nursery Technician. Incumbent will be working on weekends and holidays and is responsible for the day to day work of opening and/or closing the garden, maintaining nursery plants, and garden collection maintenance. The position includes responsibilities, such as propagating, watering, weeding, pest monitoring and production as well as work on the grounds caring for our collections. In addition to hands on plant care duties, incumbent may spend a portion of their time assisting with garden projects, such as data recording, installing hardscape, etc. Incumbent is to do other duties related to the role of a nursery technician as assigned by supervisor.
