The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), Augusta University, invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the associate or full professor level. We seek outstanding candidates whose research is focused on molecular, cellular and circuit mechanisms of neurodegenerative or neuropsychiatric disorders. The successful candidate will have a strong record of research productivity and extramural funding. Faculty hired into this position will join a rapidly growing and highly interactive neuroscience community at MCG. Our department is home to the Transgenic and Genome Editing Core and the Viral Vector Core and houses a state-of-the-art microscopic facility, including multiphoton/confocal microscopes and light-sheet microscopes. Department faculty have access to the University core research facilities for electron microscopy and histology, cell and tissue imaging, small animal behavior and imaging, genomics and proteomics, and bioinformatics.
