40 hours per week (M - F 8am - 5 pm)

Minimum rate = $12.54 per hour (based on experience)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or a GED required, plus a minimum of 1 year experience performing secretarial /clerical assistant duties in an office setting
  • Working knowledge of MS Office to include Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills; good physical and mental health; able to work under pressure; must relate well to patients, security staff, visitors and co-workers.
  • Must be able to lift 20lbs. Normal bending, reaching, stooping. Standing and sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to move quickly in cases of emergency. Must speak English as a primary language. Normal levels of hearing and seeing, if necessary, with corrective appliances. Must be able to perform CPR.
  • Security Clearance by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.
  • Preferred:

    Associate Degree, plus 3 years experience performing secretarial /clerical assistant duties in an office setting.

    Correctional experience.

    Responsibilities

    Duties to include but are not limited to:

    Under direction of the DCHC-JH Lead Nurse - is responsible for performing a variety of routine clerical duties in support of an office or department. Also responsible for promoting a customer friendly environment and providing superior service to our youth, facility staff, family and outside vendors.
