Job Summary

Support the development and implementation of UEI programming through communications, program evaluation, data collection and analysis, record keeping and grant reporting, project management,training and technical assistance, and grant management.Take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participates in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.

Essential Functions

Communications (15%)

Lead the development and implementation of the UEI Communications Plan.Lead in the distribution, and maintenance of all print, social media, and electronic communications.Work with the UEI Director and Faculty Directors to conceptualize, launch and then edit website/blog designed to connect theory and practice in the after-school world.Coordinate these strategies with the Jandon Center’s communication strategies.

Program Evaluation & Data Collection and Analysis (20%)

Lead the data collection and analysis of all UEI programs to help measure impact.Lead the Program Evaluation of all UEI programs.Work with the UEI Director and the Faculty Directors to identity and implement key areas for evaluation, self-assessment, and lead efforts to conceptualize and implement a longitudinal strategic evaluation plan designed to improve internal program practices and to inform on a national level the field of youth development.Build and oversee information databases for all programs.

Project Management (5%)

Lead and manage projects including coordinating staff and internal resources, monitoring project progress and adapting work as required to ensure projects meet deadlines.

Record Keeping and Grant Reporting (20%)

Lead the development and management of all record keeping and reporting processes related to UEI programs.This includes recruitment and registration file maintenance, grant reports calendar and the submissions, and other reports related to evaluation and communications.It also includes reports designed for board members and other stakeholders.

Program Support (25%)

Lead the logistics of recruitment and enrollment for various programs with input from key personnel.

Lead the development and implementation of the UEI professional development calendars based on the programmatic needs as identified by the team.

Training and Technical Assistance (5%)

Other Functions

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience.Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Must possess a strong understanding of both the theory and practice ofeducation.

Preferred Qualifications

Youth development work and teaching experience in the K-12 level, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is an asset.


Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills; ability to facilitate meetings, develop action plans, and supervise staff.Significant experience in working with children and youth in out-of-school programs in diverse communities.Must have a proven record of successful work with K-12 and college students.
