This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from using job-related equipment; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.Shift:
Primarily 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; some weekends and/or holidays may be required per departmental need.Job Summary:
Assist pharmacist(s) in obtaining prior to admission medication histories; assesses patient risk factors for adherence to prescribed regimens; reviews/enters patient allergies and triages medication-related issues as identified via communication with pharmacists, other providers, or patients; assists pharmacist(s) with M2B prescription processing and distribution to patients/families within Chandler or Good Samaritan hospital(s); collects prescriptions and patient information required to process prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist; delivers medications to patients; and collects payment using a point of sale system. Use of multiple computer devices and programs for adequate documentation are required.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
