Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students from around the world who are dedicated to civic engagement, academic excellence and becoming leaders in their communities and their careers.Description:Reporting to the Dean of Graduate Admission, the Assistant Dean will support academic departments to attract and enroll the most qualified graduate students. This position will have specific programmatic assignments for recruitment and application review. This individual is expected to develop and implement enrollment strategies, evaluate and report outcomes with analytical, fiscal, and other regular and ad hoc reports to inform the administration and improve processes. Travelling regionally and nationally is required as well as representing Hofstra at education fairs, universities and advising centers. Evening and weekend hours may be required in support of special projects and events. This position will be responsible for additional tasks as assigned. This is a full-time on-campus position.

Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, plus some nights and weekends.
Evening and weekend hours and travel required.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to travel regionally and nationally is required. Valid driver’s license is required. Two to three years of recruitment experience within higher education is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills and the ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with other areas within the University, particularly with members of the Dean’s Office, Department Chairs and Program Directors. Excellent organizational, administrative and customer service skills required. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Must have excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in the latest word processing, presentation and data analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Suite).
Master’s degree preferred.
