Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Instructor of Civil Engineering in the Civil Engineering Department. This is a 9-month, full-time position located on the Oregon Tech campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The Civil Engineer Department maintains modern laboratories that support geotechnical, transportation, structural, and water resources education and research. Hands-on learning is a hallmark of an Oregon Tech education and the newly renovated labs allow for exploration using state-of-the-art equipment. The successful applicant is expected to teach approximately three or four fundamental engineering courses per term from freshman through graduate level. Civil faculty are also expected to maintain high-quality professional development and service to the profession which includes, but is not limited to, externally funded collaborative research. Faculty instruction is well supported with discipline-specific software, an excellent IT department, a dedicated civil lab technician, and Canvas as the learning management system. Required: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field. Preferred: An earned Doctoral degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
