Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Admission Counselor in the Admissions Department. This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Oregon Tech campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The successful applicant is expected to: Recruit new students to all Oregon Tech campuses (Klamath Falls, Portland-Metro, other satellite locations, and online) and to present information to groups and organizations about Oregon Tech. Representation of Oregon Tech is accomplished in a variety of settings and formats. The person in this position will travel to local high schools, community colleges, and careers fairs, and other areas throughout the Pacific Northwest when deemed necessary. This position will also visit with prospective students on campus on a one-on-one basis, in small and large groups, at campus events, on the phone, and through email. Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Expectations: to effectively and respectfully communicate and works with people of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds. Required: Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of experience directly related to Student Services. Demonstrated excellent presentation abilities, oral and written communication skills; Experience organizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and presentations; Experience coordinating and supporting student staff; Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Must have or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid driver’s license; Willing and able to travel and work weekends/evenings; and General clerical and customer service experience.  Preferred: Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, non-traditional students, and individuals from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Bilingual in Spanish. Experience working with Slate CRM, Banner SIS, and working in education or with high school and community college-age students.
