Position Summary:

The Phone Directory Assistant is responsible for answering a wide variety of inquiries that come into the main call center for the university. This position operates a telephone console to service incoming and outgoing calls. Will use a computer and software program to retrieve data. This position involves patience, professionalism, and a willingness to learn about the University of Georgia in order to answer inquiries.

Physical Demands:

Sit in an office work environment all day, except during scheduled breaks and lunchtime. Operate a telephone and computer. Lift 40lbs.

Operate telephone console and route incoming calls to appropriate departments. Research and provide specific directory information to both internal and external inquirers, as needed, in accordance with policy and procedure pertaining to the disclosure of directory information.
