Assistant Dean for Marketing and CommunicationsSchool of Liberal Arts

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Business Officer and the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, the Assistant Dean for Marketing and Communications provides vision and leadership for the School's strategic communications and outreach. The AD helps the School of Liberal Arts build and enhance its image and tell its story as a leading Research I institution by leveraging a variety of multi-media tools, from print to digital formats. The AD also oversees the planning and coordination of school-based events.

 

The AD serves as a member of the leadership team of the School of Liberal Arts and supervises a web manager, web designer and a writer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least five years experience in a marketing/communications/public relations role
  • Experience in website development and maintenance
  • Experience in social media marketing
  • Event-management experience
  • Proven supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in a university organizational setting
