Job Summary Custodian I is responsible for helping to maintain the appearance of offices, classrooms, hallways, laboratories, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairways, and restrooms by performing housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, recycling, and removal of trash in the building. Washing windows, door panels, and window sills are required. Cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim are also required. Additionally, it is required to complete additional tasks requested on an “as needed” basis. Shifts available have various working hours. 4:00AM to 1:00PM, 8:00AM to 5:00PM and 1:00PM to 10:00PM.

    Required Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
    • 6 months of experience preferred; not required.
    • Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
    • Must be able to tolerate some bending.
    • Must be able to use various cleaning chemicals safely.
    • Must be able to work self-sufficiently with minimal or no supervision.
    Proposed Salary

    Salary: Will be based on experience.
