The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine - Infectious Diseases has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse promotes, supports, and facilitates individuals engaging in clinical activities and patient care, the treatment of patients, biological sample collection, and pre and post patient care. Coordinates, guides, leads and provides support for council activities and serves as the liaison to the nursing shared governance structure. Encourages sexual health and HIV prevention including PrEP adherence with the clinic patients. Organizes and implements various clinical projects with care and accuracy. Monitors the care and protection of patient information. Conducts clinical needs assessments and uses results to construct a strategic plan to develop clinical care for nursing. Collaborates and develops innovative programs to educate, mentor, and enhance the knowledge of nursing staff. Fosters the development of an environment conducive to the conduct of inquiry; clinical and practice. Facilitates the development of interdepartmental and interdisciplinary activities. Participates in performance improvement activities, quality improvement and patient safety activities. Assists in maintaining compliance accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards including the code of conduct. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists the UM Rapid Access Wellness Clinic (RAW) with managing expectations surrounding pre and post patient care. Ensure positive and welcoming experiences, free of stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and STI services. Promotes collegiality with fellow employees and works closely with PrEP Mobile staff to ensure smooth patient transitions to the UM Rapid Access Wellness Clinic (RAW). Develops efficient methods for nursing practice and execution of patient care and treatment. Able to adapt to new circumstances and take on additional responsibilities when necessary. Enhances clinic operations in line with University of Miami clinical standards to guarantee proper patient care.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education:Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN requiredCertification and Licensing:Valid Florida Registered Nurse LicenseBLS certification requiredExperience:Minimum 1 years of relevant experience

Patient safety is a top priority.
