Advertised Job Summary:Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Dean of Finance the Administrative Coordinator will ensure efficient flow of account management, grant management and other fiscal procedures. Also, will provide assistance to the Human Resource manager with account changes, hiring of student workers, complete faculty and staff I-9 and E-verify in I-9 Advantage.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. Must have above average skills with Microsoft Professional Package, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Also, familiarity with USC policies, procedures, and PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin, ITAMS and other UofSC systems are beneficial. Working knowledge of UofSC policy and procedures and knowledge of PeopleSoft financial module.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks for extended periods of time is needed. Must have the ability to think analytically and maintain complex filing systems. Must be able to draft correspondence or emails to college employees. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Ability to coordinate and work with diverse groups of stakeholders, and work in a team environment. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the university. Effective computer experience and strong organizational skills are essential. Must be able to exercise diplomacy and tact in interactions with others. Demonstrates understanding of basic accounting and financial management principles. Identifies and recommends cost effective approaches. Ability to assist and provide support to the Grants Manager and become proficient in using PeopleSoft financial system.
Ability to work with software applications to include PeopleAdmin, PeopleSoft, ITAMS, I-9 Advantage and E-Verify, Excel and Word applications.
