Responsibilities:

The School of Nursing within the College of Science and Health is searching for a non-tenure track full-time faculty member for the 2021-2022 Academic Year who is able to teach students at the graduate level.

Responsibilities include providing didactic and clinical instruction to nursing students primarily in the Master's Entry into Nursing Practice program. The faculty member is expected to engage in course development, updating and submission of course syllabi in required format, assessment of student outcomes, research and development of resources for instruction, and utilization and development of instructional design methods that include technology (e.g., simulation). In addition, the faculty member will have opportunity to serve as lead faculty for main courses and mentor adjunct faculty. Further, the faculty member will advise students, provide support for departmental and programmatic initiatives and serve on the school committees.

Our instructors may teach at both the Lincoln Park Campus as well as the North Chicago Extension site of the Nursing program. The successful candidate will begin teaching in Summer Quarter 2021.

DePaul's School of Nursing offers the RN-MS (online), Master's Entry into Nursing Practice, DNP, and Nurse Practitioner tracks and certificates. Nursing Programs are focused on community engagement, service learning in vulnerable communities, social justice and excellent safe quality nursing care. Faculty and students are engaged in Community Based Service Learning experiences in over 60 community sites in the Chicago area. Students are also in clinical sites at over 20 health care institutions.


Required Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have earned a PhD in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice. Those with a Master's degree in Nursing with significant experience teaching at the graduate level are also encouraged to apply. All applicants must be eligible for Illinois licensure as a Registered Nurse. A minimum two years' full-time clinical experience as a Registered Nurse is required. Teaching experience including classroom, clinical, lab, and online as well as significant experience with curriculum development and evaluation are preferred.
