The BU School of Public Health (SPH) is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven candidate. The Dean’s Office Operations Associate will play a vital role in supporting business operations in the Dean's Office, working directly with the Dean and the Chief of Staff on the implementation of innovative projects that seek to promote the school's mission. Responsibilities include administrative support, data management and relevant analytics, Salesforce, and other special projects assigned. Candidates for the position should have excellent data management, synthesis and reporting skills, as well as possess outstanding organizational skills, excelling in attention to detail, time management, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Responsible for all business operations in the team office, including but not limited to data management, data analytics and reporting, scheduling management, events programming support and administrative support of Dean’s Office projects. Collaborate across departments to ensure contact data is kept up to date.
  • Responsible for supporting the Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives with events administration. Support all school-wide events, including staffing appropriately and seeing all events through to completion.
  • Responsible for special projects assigned by the Dean’s office, including website management.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of professional experience in an administrative operations support setting. Preferred experience working with Salesforce, Excel, Outlook calendaring, and data management and reporting.

Excellent communication skills and a high degree of professionalism and responsiveness. Must be able to work as a team player. Self-starter who is well organized, detail oriented, disciplined, flexible, and effective under pressure. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute multiple important projects with competing priorities.
