The Recruitment Coordinator will oversee the graduate recruitment and admissions processes in the College of Arts and Sciences and is part of CAS Advising and Student Services team. This Coordinator will collaborate effectively with department chairs, faculty, and administrators to positively impact enrollment yield at the graduate level. They will collaborate with the Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator to provide oversight for the college level SLATE/CRM communication plan, collaborate on outreach efforts, communicate with campus level enrollment management, provide data needed to drive recruitment-focused decision making, and exhibit a high level of energy and enthusiasm in representing the college in the graduate enrollment management landscape. This position will report to the Associate Dean and work closely with the Director of Admissions, Admissions Office and Recruitment Coordinators across campus.

  • Enhance successful recruitment and outreach efforts to increase interest from prospective students.
  • Develop familiarity with and understanding of the different disciplines represented in CAS
  • In collaboration with academic departments, design, implement and execute new recruitment and outreach strategies that will increase applications and admits
  • Conduct informational sessions for prospective students (face to face or virtual), with program managers
  • Represent the university and CAS graduate programs to prospective students at recruiting and job fairs as well as conferences
  • In collaboration with advisors and faculty, provide timely and appropriate follow-up communication with prospective students
  • Develop and nurture connections with agencies and industries to support workforce development
  • Collaborate with UMSL Global to enhance international recruitment
  • Maintain recruitment materials, including digital and social media; monitor website
  • Collaborate with college advising office to streamline admissions and enrollment processes, recruiting and marketing
  • Serve as SLATE captain for the college, collaborating closely with the SLATE team in admissions.
  • Track analytics from SLATE to contribute to informed decision making for resource allocation.
  • Track and report on recruitment and admission metrics for CAS graduate programs Collaborate with graduate admissions offices to meet campus strategic goals
  • Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in all actions and initiative
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum QualificationsA Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Education, Business, Communication, or related field
  • Three years of student services/higher education experience with diverse student population required, preferably in an admissions or registrar’s office
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer and database literacy and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint for digital presentations)
  • Ability to work well as a team member
  • Experience working with multiple demands, schedules and work styles
  • Ability to prioritize various tasks and assignments
  • Strong record keeping skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in University admissions and registration systems
  • Knowledge of Slate/CRM
  • Knowledge of FERPA regulations and the ability to handle confidential information
