Work Schedule:Third shift 11pm-7am with rotating days off.

This is a Mandatory employee position. This employee is designated as mandatory and when contacted to report to work is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions.
Primary Purpose of Position:Essential to the success of the security program is an on site supervisor. The Assistant Security Supervisor will manage a daily security operation and directly supervise and train twenty University Residence Security Guards located in twleve residential facilities. The Guards are involved in protecting people, state and personal property for a residential student population of approximately 5,200. The Assistant Security Supervisor reports directly to the Security Supervisor and serves as primary liason between professional staff and Security Guard staff.
Minimum Education/Experience:Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in security, enforcement, or protection work. May require valid N.C. driver’s license.

Essential Job Duties:Essential to the success of the security program is an on site Assistant Security Guard Supervisor. The Assistant Security Guard Supervisor will manage a daily security operation and directly supervise and train 27 Housing and Residence Life Security Guards located in fifteen residential facilities/areas. The guards are involved in protecting people, state and personal property for a residential student population of approximately 6,000. The Assistant Security Guard Supervisor reports directly to the Security Guard Supervisor and serves as a liason between professional staff and Security Guard staff.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:At least five years of security related experience (police or corrections officer, military police, and / or supervising private security).
Supervisory experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Google g-mail.
Willingness to work 3rd shift.
Interview/ work history
A good knowledge of Security.
A willingness to work in a team environment.
Ability to communicate well with others.
A good work History-attendance, tardiness, telephone reference, years of service.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications:May require valid N.C. driver’s license.
