May include standing for greater than five hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day; reaching items above shoulder-level; and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Days, primarily Monday through Friday. Holiday and weekend coverage rotated among staff; hours of operation and location of service provided may be subject to change based on the needs of the service area.

Assist pharmacist(s) in obtaining prior to admission medication histories; assess patient risk factors for adherence to prescribed regimens; review/enter patient allergies and triage medication-related problems identified via communication with pharmacists, other providers, or patients. Additionally, the Pharmacy Senior Technician assists pharmacist(s) with M2B prescription processing and distribution to patients/families within Chandler or Good Samaritan hospital(s); collects prescriptions and patient information required to process prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist; delivers medications to patients; and collects payments using a point of sale system. Use of multiple computer devices and programs for adequate documentation are required.

This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

No

Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
