Physical Requirements:Sitting for 2-3 hours at a time.
Standing for 1-2 hours at a time.
Mainly Monday through Friday, approximately 8:30-5:00 PM, with occassional evening hours or weekend hours.
Job Summary:Laboratory Technician Senior position to work on a research project investigating the effect of sleep and circadian rhythm disruption on neuropathology in a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease.
Job responsibilities include working with laboratory rodents, conducting behavioral tests, sectioning rodent tissue, conducting procedures such as in situ hybridization, RT-PCR, and immunohistochemistry, and analyzing and graphing data.
Good record keeping and basic computer skills are also required; also collaboration and communication with other personnel.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:MS Windows and Excel.

Preferred Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in biology or neuroscience or a related field plus two or more years of experience with lab work preferred.
