Physical Requirements:Sitting and/or standing at the work station for extended periods.
Lifting and/or carrying light weight objects up to 20 pounds.
Days, Monday-Friday; several evenings required and occasional weekends; extensive in-state day travel.
Job Summary:The Center for Drug and Alcohol Research is seeking an individual to work on grant-funded research study collecting data from adult drug users in the community.
Duties include recruiting participants, collecting survey data, conducting qualitative interviews, locating participants for follow-up data collection, and adhering to study protocols. In addition, the position will require collecting urine samples and behavioral data.
The successful candidate will also be expected to coordinate daily operations; draft study materials; serve as a liaison; monitor the study tracking system; prepare reports; and perform other duties as assigned.
This position requires strong interpersonal skills for establishing rapport with participants and development a partnership with the research team, community-based partners, staff and administration. This position will require frequent late-afternoon/evening hours and in-state day travel.
Extensive interstate travel is required.
This is a limited-term (4-5 years) position.
This position is located in Louisville, KY.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:Data collection knowledge; basic computer skills including MS windows, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint; REDCap (or other survey platform); social media skills.

Preferred Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years related experience preferred.
