Typically Monday through Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm; shift may vary as needed by department.Job Summary:
The Patient Relations Assistant (PRA) is a front-line customer service representative for the Ambulatory Sports Medicine clinic.
Customer service duties will include: respectfully acknowledging and greeting patients and answering phones according to established guidelines; proactively identifying opportunities to provide a positive patient experience by anticipating patients’ needs (e.g., providing directions, etc.).
The PRA will also be responsible for a variety of registration tasks including registering patients and verifying patient information such as insurance coverage/benefits and correcting registration errors across UKHC Enterprise.
Appointment scheduling, check ins/outs, and other medical records activities are duties of this position, including scheduling and reappointing patients according to protocol and scheduling ancillary/diagnostic tests. Will maintain HIPAA compliance.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Working knowledge of UK Healthcare systems. Experience in registration and appointment scheduling. Attention to detail, computer literacy.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
Associate degree plus two or more years related experience preferred.
Experience in patient registration highly preferred.
