Required Related Experience:1.5 related RN experience is required
Required License/Registration/Certification:Active Kentucky RN license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or active compact state RN license that is in good standing and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment date
Physical Requirements:walking , bending, some patient lifting
Shift:Must be available to work flexible shifts: Days/Evenings/Nights. To ensure the best patient outcomes and a healthy work environment, a minimum of 50% of hours worked are to be within the hours of 3pm-7am, and must include a minimum of 16 weekend hours in a 6 week schedule.
Job Summary:The Assistant Patient Care Manager (A-PCM), UK Good Samaritan, provides clinical and managerial oversight on the shifts that he/she is assigned. The A-PCM supports the Patient Care Managers of both the Medicine (Universal Bed model) and the Behavioral Health Service lines to develop nursing staff at all levels to ensure nursing practice that supports exemplary patient care, compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards and exceptional patient experience. Responsible for direct supervision of staff and support of patient care manager.
