This nurse provides emergency care to injured and sick animals.Job Description
This nurse will provide patient care to emergency and critical care patients. This involves triage, CPR, pain management, imaging, anesthesia, administering medications, IV and urinary catheter placement. Teaching the future veterinarians and veterinary nurses.
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services A- 0-1 year of veterinary experience and board eligible within 3 months
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services B- 1-2 years of veterinary experience and a CVT
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services C- 3-4 years of veterinary experience and a CVT
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services D- 5-8 years of veterinary experience
This is a rotating overnight position that includes some weekends. There is a generous shift differential of 15% for weekday overnights and 30% for weekend overnights. This is a 40 hour, full time position.
This position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, kneel on the ground working with patients, lifting over 25 pounds consistently with support.
