Under supervision applies basic IT professional concepts, department / unit and campus / medical center / OP policies and procedures to resolve routine issues in one or more IT areas of specialization. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Compensation Range: $20.02-$30.51 Department Website: http://mind.uci.edu Required: 2-3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information and Computer Science, or Business Administration, or related field.Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner. Basic knowledge relating to the design and development of software. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner. Basic knowledge of several areas of IT. Basic knowledge of computer security best practices and policies. Ability to put knowledge into practice. Basic understanding of data management operations and database administration. Demonstrated ability to install software and troubleshoot basic problems with computing devices, peripherals and software. Basic understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance. Special Conditions Required: Must pass a background check. Final candidate subject to background check.
