The incumbent assists the faculty medical physicist in clinical development projects and implementation of new technologies and procedures. The predominant aspect of these activities fulfill requirements of procedures relating to quality assurance in treatment machine performance and patient dose delivery to ensure that federal and state regulations are followed with respect to delivery of care to patients. The incumbent performs analysis and processing of acquired radiological data, including those resulting from radiation beam characterization measurements. The incumbent also performs calibration and maintenance of patient dosimetry systems, including TLDs and diodes, and maintains accurate and complete records of these activities. Required Qualifications: A Master's degree in radiation physics with five years of experience OR a PhD in physics or radiation physics with two years of experience.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health SystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishKnowledge of basic electric circuitry, basic computer skills and familiarity with computing languagesMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Physical, Mental, & Environmental DemandsTo comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 the essential physical, mental and environmental requirements for this job are listed below.
