Position Summary:

UCI Student Housing serves roughly 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students in six on-campus housing communities that include residence halls, theme houses, and apartments. Comprehensive Residence Life programs, Dining, and other support services are tailored to the needs of each community. Student Housing is part of the Auxiliary Services arm of UCI Student Affairs, and partners with campus colleagues to support the academic success and well-being of students.

Under the general supervision of the Custodial Supervisor or Assistant Custodial Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the cleaning of the facilities within the Mesa Court undergraduate housing community as assigned, These duties will include but not be limited to: daily floor care, dusting, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, kitchen cleaning, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, interior and exterior trash removal, window cleaning, and additional tasks as necessary (i.e. furniture moving) to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness. Responsibilities may include weekend work during open and closing and during peak work periods, and may also include afterhours emergency response and cleaning.

Compensation Range:

Hourly $17.82 - $20.06

Valid driver’s license.

Cleaning Equipment

Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing for the purpose of instructions and record keeping

Correct use of cleaning supplies.

Ability to follow instructions

Cleaning Skills

Special Conditions Preferred:

Must be available for some overtime and weekend work.

Must be able to climb stairs.
