FSU's Equal Opportunity Statement can be viewed at: The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide FSU Panama City departments and employees with Human Resources services, including recruitment, benefits, payroll, attendance and leave, labor relations, position management and classification. The position will coordinate all recruiting for USPS, A&P, and non-student OPS positions from job posting through the job offer to ensure paperwork is submitted and completed in a timely manner and that all University policies are followed. This will require counseling hiring departments on appropriate procedures.

The incumbent will coordinate HR functions for all staff employees and provide guidance to departments on all HR related policies and procedures. They will coordinate benefits assistance for employees and provide information to current/new FSU PC employees regarding benefits including processing necessary paperwork, troubleshooting problems/issues with insurance, and assisting with employee tuition scholarship program enrollment. The ideal candidate will lead the planning and coordination of the annual FSU PC Benefits Fair, serve as a liaison with EAP, and plan and coordinate training classes addressing specific needs of FSU PC employees.

This position will work closely with Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) regarding FSU PC staff disciplinary issues and other employee related issues. They will be responsible for coordinated the completion of performance evaluations for staff in a timely manner on the FSU PC campus.

The incumbent will also support the Senior HR Generalist with faculty HR functions as needed, including the completion of special projects to include financial reporting and data comparison.
Other duties will be assigned by supervisor and/or campus leadership.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience in human resources.

(Note: or a combination of post high school education and human resources experience equal to six years.)

Experience with the principles, practices, and standards of HR administration.

Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Experience in solving problems, dealing with employee matters, and managing sensitive information.

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and meet project deadlines.

Knowledge of applicable computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and basic computer functions.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Preferred Experience in Human Resources in a Higher Education setting.Other Information The Panama City campus of FSU is located 100 miles west of Tallahassee on the beautiful St. Andrews Bay and is only three miles from the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
