The Division of Student Affairs (DSA) Department of Student Support and Transitions (DSST) is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable professional to manage the daily business and administrative operations for the following departments: Student Conduct & Community Standards, Title IX, and Student Support & Transitions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining policies and procedures related to fiscal management and human resource transactions in the Department of Student Support and Transitions for the Office of Student Support and Transitions, Title IX, and Student Conduct and Community Standards. Assures policies and procedures are applied to protect university assets, accurately report financial activities, and ensure all federal, state, and university guidelines are followed. Communicates financial information and collaborates with DSA Business Office regarding business strategies. Serves as a liaison with DSA Business Office to review financial, administrative, and technical needs and assists the departments in the design and application of controls to ensure operations are effective and efficient. Analyzes financial and administrative needs of the departments to identify problems and propose solutions. Assists in the development of long- and short-range forecasts and analyses for the Department of Student Support and Transitions, including preparation of various financial studies and reports to ensure fiscal effectiveness. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget reports. Regularly monitors departmental budget activity and reports status to the DSA Business Office. Human resources related duties such as time/labor, onboarding, and appointment transactions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent equivalent and six years of experience.
(Note:or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Knowledge of or the ability to review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, and compile financial data and prepare reports.

Experience evaluating processes and developing alternative procedures.

Experience working with all levels of employees and management in a professional environment.

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Ability to perform detail-oriented work, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

Experience with or knowledge of Hyperion Software, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.
