The Faculty Research Support Team (FRST) provides assistance with proposal compilation and award management of external funding. Such assistance benefits the investigator by reducing administrative burden and by ensuring fiscal and technical compliance with University policies and procedures, government regulations and requirements, and sponsor-specific guidelines and conditions.
FRST staff provide a full range of policy and procedural expertise. That includes a broad knowledge of public and sponsor-specific systems, and an understanding and interpretation of program-specific requirements. The goal is to add as much quality and value as possible to each proposal or award. FRST is a liaison between the research faculty and the Office of Sponsored Programs.Position Overview:
Provide departmental level research administrative support to faculty on externally sponsored research projects. this position provides direct professional support and guidance in the proposal submission and administration of grants, contracts and related funds to faculty and
staff in an assigned portfolio of departments. This position provides high levels of client satisfaction through strong relationship
Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Up to date knowledge of applicable law, and federal and state grant guidelines, including but not limited to FARS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200, and Uniform Grant Management Standards.
Understands and respects the need for structured guidelines and protocols but is willing to ask for clarification if something doesn’t make sense and could cause unnecessary problems for a Co-Worker, the organization or could result in less than an excellent level of service for a Customer.
