Description:

The School of Physician Assistant Studies in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida is recruiting for a full-time faculty member as a Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor. The position requires a graduate degree as a physician assistant.  Clinical experience in emergency medicine, surgery or critical care medicine is preferred.  This is a non-tenure accruing position with salary and benefits commensurate with background and experience.

Responsibilities include instruction in a graduate level educational program for physician assistant students involving didactic and clinical year curricular phases and include classroom teaching, simulation based education, clinical procedures, skill training, student advising and evaluation, educational administration, service on committees, and clinical practice as assigned, which requires eligibility for Florida licensure.  Teaching experience in a physician assistant educational program is desirable but not required. Organizational, technological and teaching skills, the ability to be an effective mentor to students and to work collaboratively with faculty are essential.


Qualifications:

The position requires a graduate degree (masters degree) as a physician assistant. Florida license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida is required.

Three years of experience as a PA and in PA program education are highly preferred.
