The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications to fill a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Environmental Engineering. All candidates are expected to pursue a vigorous, nationally visible, externally funded research program and maintain a strong commitment to teaching at all levels.
Candidates with expertise in innovative water treatment technologies at the intersection of advanced oxidation process and environmental microbiology including the use of innovative molecular biological methods are sought to fill this position. Expertise in environmental analytical chemistry that can take advantage of the world-class analytical equipment in the Center for Air and Aquatic Resources Engineering and Science (CAARES) is also highly desired. An interest in collaborative research that complements existing expertise among the environmental engineering faculty and aligns with one or more of Clarkson’s interdisciplinary research hubs is expected. The Institute for a Sustainable Environment and its related Centers provide the campus’ hub for interdisciplinary environmental and sustainability related research and education. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, with 17 tenure track faculty, and the Institute for a Sustainable Environment, with over 80 faculty affiliates, provide research, education and outreach opportunities for faculty and their graduate students.Minimum Qualifications:
