The HR department at UHealth is seeking a HR Representative. Under the direction of the HRSS Manager and in accordance with departmental and University policies and procedures, the candidate will work with managers and supervisors within the School of Medicine. Serve as an integral member of the HRSS team by working efficiently during numerous times of crisis and often under very tight and stringent deadlines.

  • Coordinate and conduct the onboarding sessions for new hires.

  • Will provide candidates via email and phone the electronic onboarding paperwork.

  • Provide information on required documents for I-9 compliance.

  • Responsible for front end processing of all drug test, background screening and TB tests.

  • Daily follow up in Sterling to ensure applicants are meeting the deadline prior to hire date.

  • Process new hire in Workday accurately and timely.

  • Provide new hires with relevant information on new employee orientations.

  • Attend UHealth Orientation and assist in facilitating.

  • Responsible for completing the I-9 in Workday for new hire employees.

  • Follow up with E-verify if employment not authorized

  • Prepare new hire packages for scanning

  • Provide support to HRSS Manager with special projects and audits.

  • Serve as back up for the front desk

  • Support department and employees by phone, email and walk in.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 1yearof relevant experience

  • General knowledge of office procedures and operations

  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
