The Residence Directors (RDs) are members of the Department of Residential Education. RDs work to foster an inclusive residential environment that upholds DePaul University's Vincentian mission, as well as the goals and vision of the Division of Student Affairs. RDs are 12-month, full-time, master's level live-in staff members who are responsible for the overall management of a residential area. They oversee staff supervision, student conduct, crisis response, community development, initiative planning, and budget management.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinates and oversees all educational aspects of hall management, including staff training and supervision, student issue response, student learning opportunities, conduct procedures and crisis response.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in student development, higher education, counseling or related field.
- Residential Education experience with a strong emphasis in programming and training, or an equivalent amount of education and experience.

Upon accepting an offer of employment with the university, you will also be required to sign an Acknowledgement of Mandated Reporter Status at the time of hire.
