Position Highlights:The Granzier & Ottenheijm lab in the UArizona Department of Cellular & Molecular Medicine are seeking a motivated, independent Research Technician for a joint position to support research focused on the structure and function of the cardiac and skeletal muscle proteins Titin and Nebulin and their role in disease.

Duties & Responsibilities:- Manage research animals, including breeding and weaning; maintain detailed animal data in databases and provide weekly reports.
- Perform toe/tail tipping and PCR genotyping.
- Assist with behavioral assays, dissections, necropsies and surgical procedures on research animals.
- Train lab members and students in standard lab and animal procedures.
- Maintain compliance records and SOPS.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
*BS in Biology, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent learning attained through experience
