Description of Work:THIS POSTING IS FOR TWO IDENTICAL POSITIONS (20037860 & 20037861). BY APPLYING TO THIS POSTING, YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR BOTH POSITIONS.
The person in this position will participate in survey data collection via telephone interviewing and data management for the study. This position conducts telephone interviews with enrolled subjects at 9 to 12-month intervals post-enrollment to collect information regarding breast cancer treatment and outcomes. Soc/Clin Research Assistant cleans, codes, and enters interview data into an ACCESS database.
The person in this position will participate in the collection and tracking of medical records releases and medical records data for subjects who have received treatment for breast cancer. The Soc/Clin Research Assistant will gather, clean, and enter data into study-specific databases.
This position includes processing participant reimbursements and invoices; organizing and maintaining subject files; scanning and cleaning surveys; participating in regular study meetings; maintaining HIPAA certification.
The Soc/Clin Research Assistant is responsible for identifying and disseminating information to study participants regarding available local community resources.
The person in this position is responsible for tracking participants who are lost to contact. This position will conduct manual and web searches to obtain updated contact information for lost participants.
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Experience in conducting interviews and/or assessments. Exceptionally strong organizational and time management skills are required. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are necessary in order to obtain and exchange information with a variety of individuals. Demonstrated ability to work well independently and with others in a research team setting is critical in order to deal effectively with various levels of study personnel and external sources.
