The Ting lab seeks a Research Assistant Professor to conduct experiments in uncovering the role of neurologic and immune interaction as well as the role of regulatory immune cells (such as Tregulatory cells) that occurs upon viral infection including upon COVID-19 infection. We are looking at new regulatory genes of immune suppressive cells that might be affected by viruses leading to an immunosuppressive environment. We are also interested in the role of innate immune receptors in immune-neural interactions that might impact either the immune or nervous system. Expertise in immunology, neurobiology and molecular biology/biochemistry as well as imaging and cell culture skills are preferred. The position also involves mentoring of students, technical staff and postdocs and a minor role in lab management.

PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology or related field.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in immunology and neurobiology with molecular biology skills, imaging experience and knowledge of epigenetic analyses. Previous experience in transcription factor a plus.
