This position provides comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services to students. Additionally, this role delivers care by emphasizing the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of disease by formulating, with the patient, a health care plan.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will BePatient Care
- Perform thorough and accurate medical evaluations and design a treatment plan based on medical guidelines and standards.
- Connect with and educate patients regarding their medical condition, follow-up care, and preventive measures.
- Prepare and maintain detailed, accurate, and clear medical records which justify the diagnoses, treatment(s) and billing codes. Make appropriate use of Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy, as well as other ancillary services in clinical decision making.
- Seek appropriate consultation for unusual or unresponsive cases while following established referral procedures.
- Acquire and maintain professional knowledge and skills through accredited continuing medical education. Maintain current and appropriate nurse practitioner credentials including a Colorado Nursing License, prescriptive authority, National Certification and DEA registration.
- Ensure delivery of services in accordance with patient needs, WHS policies and procedures and clinical guidelines. Collaborate on the evaluation, development and revision of existing clinical practice guidelines.
- Participate in peer review audits and in the implementation of the SRHC Clinic process improvement activities.
- Registered Advanced Practice Nurse with State of Colorado upon hire.
- Full prescriptive authority in the state of Colorado upon hire.
- DEA Registration.
- 2 years of APN experience relevant to the field.
- National certification as an Advance Practice Nurse (such as ANCC).
- Current BLS certification.
- Eligible for clinical privileges as determined by the WHS Credentialing and Privileging Department.
- Position requires basic digital literacy including experience with Windows-based systems.
- Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Training or completion of Nurse Midwifery program.
- Experience with providing gender affirming care, including hormone therapies.
- 5 years of relevant APN experience.
- Extensive experience with LARC procedures and ultrasound for pregnancy dating and IUD location.
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
- Recent experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health Care.
- Experience with EMR.
- A current resume.
