The Research Compliance Coordinator in the Office of Research Compliance performs tasks related to the following regulatory committees and programs: Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), COIC (Conflict of Interest Committee), LSC (Laboratory Safety Committee). These duties include preparation and coordination, maintenance of documentation and records, recording of discussions and meetings outcomes, and managing correspondence related to the committee meetings of the IACUC, IBC, COIC, and LSC.
This position is responsible for managing the IACUC electronic protocol submission system on a daily basis and completing reviews of IACUC and IBC applications and forms submitted for review and approval. Responsibilities also include assisting faculty, staff, students, and investigators completing IACUC and IBC applications and forms, instruction on the use of electronic submission systems, and overall assistance related to IACUC, IBC, COI and LSC policy and procedures.
This position performs important duties related to government regulations, professional accreditations, and sponsored research. These duties include the preparation, collection, and dissemination of data, documents, records, and reports like AAALAC and semi-annual evaluations of the IACUC programs related to the Main Campus (Glassboro), Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine (Stratford), and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (Camden).
This position serves as the liaison and primary point of contact for the Office of Research Compliance and the Office of Sponsored Programs related to DHHS grants/contracts and conflicts of interest administration, and manages departmental funds including NJDOH revenue accounts according to Rowan policies and procedures. This position also submits various requisitions for office needs, processes invoices, maintains office equipment, and makes updates to web pages. Other related responsibilities and duties may be assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
- Previous related work experience.
- Experience with Banner and Cayuse.
- Experience with research regulatory committees.
- Range P16 (Step 1 = $43,753)
