Purpose/Role within Organization: The Federal Work Study program offers part-time employment opportunities to eligible students, as determined by FAFSA results. FWS jobs should, to the maximum extent possible, complement and reinforce a student's educational program or career goals. In addition to hours worked within the campus department, students are also required to participate in community service hours.

Duties/Responsibilities:Help us reach out target audience by creating and delivering both useful and appealing online information. Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies. Responsibilities include creating and publishing content as dictated by class schedules and registration numbers throughout our various social channels such as Facebook, Nextdoor, Twitter, Pinterest, You Tube, and Instagram. Monitor postings to ensure brand message is consistence with the terminology used to images posted. Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the social media pages. Assist in implementing plans to increase followers throughout the various platforms.
Qualifications/Requirements: Current SCC student who has completed one semester in any business or marketing class. Must be proficient in social media platforms to include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Must have experience in shooting video using a phone and posting video to these platforms. Must have reliable transportation to travel between campuses, as well as, to offsite class locations to take pictures and/or video of classes. Mileage will be reimbursed.
Hours/Work Schedule: Part time hours not to exceed 15 hours per week.
Evaluation Procedures: Final grades will be evaluated at the end of each term. Students not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress will lose eligibility to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.

Length of Employment: Renewal of the position for subsequent semesters will depend upon Satisfactory Academic Progress and the availability of program funds.
Rate of Pay: $10.30/hour
