Position Description:
The UCLA Interdepartmental Program in Conservation of Archaeological and Ethnographic Materials Mission is to train students in the highest standard of conservation research and practice, and to prepare them to work as professionals and scholars in the preservation of cultural heritage. During the initial phase (10-month project), the successful applicant will Research existing resources and existing curricula on sustainability in cultural heritage conservation; Identify cultural heritage experts on sustainability; and offer pilot instruction to aid in developing sustainable curriculum. During the second phase of the initiative the researcher will draft a strategic plan and write grant proposal for the program.
