Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is the largest college at KSU, enrolling more than 8000 students in 30 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The Department of History and Philosophy is a dynamic department committed to engaged scholarship and excellence in teaching. The department offers a B.A. in History, a B.S. in History Education, and a B.A. in Philosophy. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty of philosophy positions to teach undergraduate survey courses in philosophy. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
Part-time faculty are hired from the department's pool of applicants on a semester-by-semester basis. Assignments to faculty in the pool are based on departmental needs and are for one or two courses per semester. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and courses maybe be assigned at the Kennesaw or Marietta campus. Qualified out-of-state candidates with demonstrated success in online teaching are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications
An earned M.A. or Ph.D. in Philosophy or the foreign equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications

    Experience teaching on-line courses
  • Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level.
