Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
The Department of Computer Science (CS) cultivates success through a diverse culture of experiential learning, discovery, and innovation. Our faculty take pride in our teaching and research excellence. Our emphasis is in providing academic quality, relevance, and excellence through our teaching, learning, scholarship, and creative activities with student-centered faculty. CS offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,500 students. We also offer a Master of Science in Computer Science as well as graduate certificates that have over 200 students enrolled. CS contributes to a Ph.D. in Analytics and Data Science which is an interdisciplinary degree between Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics Departments. The department has 21 tenured/tenure track faculty, 3 lecturers, 6 limited term faculty (2-year appointments), and 5-8 part-time faculty per term. The department is very collegial, and we welcome all qualified applications for the positions.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for multiple Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Computer Science positions. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
The department seeks candidates who strive for excellence in teaching. The successful candidate is expected to teach a broad range of courses in computer science at both graduate and undergraduate levels. We are especially interested in candidates with teaching background in, but not limited to, algorithms, operating systems, artificial intelligence, and parallel and distributing computing.

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Student advising and supervision
  • Working with a diverse community of students and faculty

    Required Qualifications
    A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required for Limited Term Instructor position.

    An earned Ph.D. degree in computer science or a related field is required for Limited Term Assistant Professor position
