Job Summary
Responsible for researching and collecting information and procurement of course materials. Reviews and processes department requisitions and determines vendor sources and product availability.

Responsibilities

  1. Acquires course material information and ensures accuracy
  2. Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained between store locations
  3. Serves as campus contact for course materials requirements and vendor representatives
  4. Assists with verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
  5. Places purchase orders and assists with filling backorders
  6. Processes all ECore information and ensures the OER is available online for students
  7. Monitors outstanding course material information and follows up with departments
  8. Assists in physical inventory at store locations and rental returns
  9. Maintains contact with vendors & ensures compliance with publisher contracts, Open Records Act and HEOA


Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in supply chain, materials management or purchasing

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
  • Able to create and maintain relationships with academic departments and faculty
  • Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines


KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of sourcing options


SKILLS
  • Proficient in researching
  • Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

This is not a supervisory position.
This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
No, this position will not be required to drive.
This role is not considered a position of trust.
This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card).
This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time
This position does not require security clearance.
