Job Summary The function of this pool posting is to fill multiple openings and applications will be accepted on an on-going basis.
Participates in the development, testing, maintenance, analysis and delivery of training programs and related materials to faculty, staff, and students in support of University technologies. Develops training curriculum and practical exercises and facilitates online and classroom training sessions.
1. Creates training resources such as booklets, quick guides, and video tutorials
2. Develops training curriculum appropriate for the course, project and/or process
3. Manages training plans and projects
4. Conducts training sessions in a variety of formats; in-person, online, etc.
5. Provides customer support in person, by phone or through remote access
6. Updates training and procedure materials to ensure relevance and timeliness
7. Manages and maintains department resources, such as training labs, OwlSupport, SharePoint, and equipment inventory
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
One (1) year of related work experience
Previous training experience in a technology environment
Previous experience in higher education
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Able to adapt quickly to rapid change and shifting project priorities
Able to work in a team setting with scheduling deadlines for small and large projects
Ability to learn new technology tools quickly and communicate to a broad range of experience levels
Able to provide a positive experience for faculty, staff, and students
Able to conduct training sessions/classes
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Knowledge of classroom technologies helpful, but not required
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
