Summary

The Staff Instructor will facilitate and teach online academic courses in Tulane University Pre-College Programs. Courses are designed to provide participants with an enriching experience that engages them in a variety of topics. The curriculum and the development of the course will be based on subject standards with an emphasis in project-based learning. In addition to teaching a specifically designed enrichment curriculum, the staff instructor is also responsible for continuously monitoring student progress, organizing and supervising both synchronous and asynchronous academic learning experiences, as well as assisting senior program staff with course refinement.

• Sports Analytics
• Sports Marketing

Program Activities Schedule: 

• Classroom instructional times vary by course schedule. Typically, instructors work from 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM CDT.
• There are occasional professional development workshops during the same times as above prior to the start of courses.
• Additional activities: staff meetings, academic course preparations, office hours, and/or mentoring sessions as needed, to occur during the times above

**Please note this is a seasonal temporary position with a duration of approximately 8 weeks.**

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an education or field related to course offered

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience, preferably with children or adolescents.
• Graduate course work in a related field.
• Teacher certification.
